Did anyone else go to the BFD concert last Friday? Beastie Boys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Strokes, Killers…

And lots and lots of BEEEEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s so funny. Jen and I were talking about how when we were in high school we’d go to these outdoor concerts completely sober and have so much fun. In fact, we never even SAW drunk people at the concerts. But now that we’re “old ladies,” the first thing we do when we get to a concert is head for the bar. And everyone we meet is drunk too. It’s like two entirely separate universes. The drunk people and the sober people, and they never cross paths. I kind of miss being on the innocent side of the fence.

Word of advice! If the owner of a club ever personally calls you at home and tells you to come down to the club cuz it’s gonna be really hip and happenin’, be very very suspicious! I shoulda noticed a pattern by now that the only time Larry actually has time to call us is when the club is dead, haha. But anyway, we took some friends to the Blank last nite for Club Fake, and I feel bad cuz I think most of our friends were really disappointed by how empty it was. Half of them left early and went to hip hop clubs instead! Ew!?
