Sooooooooooooooooooo much good news this week I can’t even believe it!!

First, I wanted to thank everyone for all the nice e-mails and messages you all sent when I was depressed about my Maus over the holidays. I know it sounds like I’m bullshitting you, but I mean it when I say that every single e-mail meant so much to me. I wish I could have written long thoughtful responses to each one, but I was so busy trying to sell as much stuff as possible to raise the money for his surgery that I hope you guys didn’t feel like I was unappreciative of your support. I was so scared that lack of funds would postpone his surgery and I would feel like a bad mother making my baby suffer just because I didn’t have the money right away. I felt silly posting such a depressing update, cuz I didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for me or think I was looking for pity or charity. We were just so broke after buying the bigger house in November, and having trouble selling our old one. So we ended up having to make monthly payments on BOTH houses, which was totally draining our finances!! Anyway, I really do appreciate every single nice thing you guys said and did.

The good news!!!

We dropped Maus off at the hospital yesterday. I was such a nervous wreck that it took everything in me to NOT throw up or faint! Later that afternoon, the doctor called and said that Maus’s surgery was a success and that he’s doing great. He had to stay at the hospital overnight, but we get to take him home later today! What a relief that it’s all over! The next week will be hell for him as he recovers and is in a lot of pain, but I’m so glad the actual surgery is over with. The whole thing altogether will end up costing about $2,000. I raised about $1,500 in 3 weeks (Thank you soooo much, you guys! Hope you all enjoy the makeup you got!), and I’m making Kevin cover the rest.

The other good news!!!!

A popular punk/goth clothing company that you have all heard of stumbled across my clothing designs on eBay and contacted me asking to see my portfolio! At first I thought it was a prank, but I checked it all out, called the numbers, verified everything was for real. I’m not sure what’s going to happen, so that’s why I don’t want to post the name of the company here in case nothing happens and I feel stupid for getting excited over nothing, haha!

I’ll post a real update next time. I’m sooo behind! I think I still have pics from Thanksgiving I haven’t taken off my camera yet!!!
