New Years Eve, Matt’s Birthday, Melissa’s Birthday

Look, I finally uploaded my New Years Eve pics!! Better late than never, right? NYE was one of the best nites of my life! I used to think it was totally overrated, but that’s because I was doing it wrong (allowing myself to get dragged to parties I didn’t care about and hang out with people I didn’t know). But this year I figured out that the whole point of NYE is to get all your bestest friends in the same place at the same time so you can make cheesy “I love you, thanks for being my friend!” speeches as the clock strikes midnites and you’re getting hit on the head by balloons. Oh it was awesome indeed. The plan was to see the Lovemakers & She Wants Revenge at the Mezzanine. Unfortunately tickets had sold out a long time ago! Me, Kevin and Jade managed to get free tickets, but we still needed tickets for Melissa, Ryan, Patrick, Josh, and Mike’s two friends. I was pretty confident that tickets would be easy to come by, but BOY WAS I WRONG!! Melissa, Josh and I spent the whole day on Craigslist looking. Between all of us, we must have posted like 10 “I NEED TICKETS!!” ads. People were getting so desperate, some were offering $100 for them, while one girl who called herself “a beautiful 21-year-old blonde” even offered sex (for a ticket with a face value of $20–uh…). Melissa, frustrated, finally posted this ad:

subj: I won’t give head, but I’ll give you CASH for NYE Lovemakers tickets!
I might be a girl & I might be attractive, but all I want is NYE Lovemakers for the show at Mezzanine.
1, 2, 3.. how many do you have? I’d like at least 2 & I know of at least 1 friend also looking (maybe they’ll give you head?). I’ll pay $35 per ticket. I have cash & I can come get them from you.

Some guy was so impressed by her non-sluttiness, he wrote and offered to give her his two tickets FOR FREE! And no one even had to give head (although we were planning to offer Josh if push came to shove). Two tickets down, 23897423 to go!

We arrive at the venue an hour before doors open, hoping they will have a few tickets available at the door. They don’t. A million other people are trying to get tickets too, and this is when we realize the competition will be fierce! We split up in teams, scatter in the alley, and like vultures descend upon every person exiting a taxi, asking if they have extra tickets they can sell us. You know you’re in trouble when even the creepy scalper guy is having trouble getting tickets! It was only after an hour and a half of begging in the cold that we finally found enough tickets for everyone. YAY!! Teamwork is the best bonding experience.

EA Xmas party, Fatty Bike Riders Club, Disuko #1, Victor’s Bday, Victim, Xmas in the park

I knew 2006 was going to be the best year ever, and so far it HAS been!! (Aside from the fact that I turn 26 this year…. SCARY!!!) I have been spending lots of time with good people, cuddling in bed with the kitties, keeping myself busy with tons of cool projects, and eating lots of burritos and sushi of course! And aside from today’s freezing cold rainy weather, we’ve been having really nice bike-riding weather all winter, yay! Also, supayana is visiting from NY, and that has been nonstop fun. She stayed with us in San Jose for a few days, then I dropped her off in SF on Tuesday, drove up again yesterday to hang out, and now we’re making plans to collaborate on a photoshoot on Monday before she leaves. We’re having trouble finding a model though because we planned all of this so last minute! Normally Patrick has hookups and can get gorgeous agency models, but it’s a holiday weekend so we’re kind of fucked. Anyone know any models who are available all day Monday? :-} I hate looking for models on cheesy websites like Model Mayhem because no one on there is serious, and all I get is emails from “aspiring models” asking me for money and free clothes. But anyway, changing the subject, let’s play picture catch-up! No pics of Yana yet, but here are some from last month–the rest of my 2005 pictures!!

EDIT: AHHHHHHHHH!!! I just found the most amazing girl ever, and she agreed to model for us tomorrow. But thanks to everyone who sent emails offering to help!
