I won’t judge you for eating hamburgers, just sign this!

I saw this on the news the other day and couldn’t finish watching because I felt a cryfest comin’ on. An undercover video shot by a Humane Society investigator revealed sick cows who couldn’t stand up being beaten, run over and dragged to slaughter at the Hallmark Meat Packing Company. I don’t know what else after that because I had to leave the room, BUT! Melissa just sent me this info on how I (and you!) can ask San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael Ramos to file animal cruelty charges against the Hallmark Meat Packing Company.

So if you live in California, please put down your hamburger and use this form to send an email. It only takes a minute, and I know you’re not busy if you’re sitting there reading my Livejournal!

PS. Don’t watch the video if you cry easily!

PPS. If you’re in San Jose, check out Global Vegetarian Bistro on Santa Clara and 8th. It’s semi-new and kind of a hole in the wall, but they make the best fake beef, chicken and duck I’ve ever had, and it’s CHEAP! A whole meal is like $5-$6, I’m not kidding. You will never crave the taste of a real cow ever again! Me, Jen and Jessica have been eating there like 2-3 times a week and haven’t tired of it yet. If you see me there, try not to laugh at me ordering 5 plates all for myself.

PPPS. Sorry I’ve been so shitty at answering comments lately. Thank you for all the nice things you guys always say.

PPPPS. Do my “save the animals” posts sound preachy? Don’t worry, I promise I’ll get back to posting shallow pictures of party clothes and fancy dinners and slutty makeout sessions so we can forget about all the world’s problems… but only after you sign that form above! :-D
