I’ve had the same 2 recurring dreams over and over for at least 20 years now. For some reason, I’ve always assumed that everyone else has these same two recurring dreams, just because they have become such a common part of my life. But, according to my friends, I am the only one who dreams that:

1. I find out that I never really graduated from college/high school/junior high/elementary school. So I have to go back to school, where I am the oldest person in my class, and of course I can’t find my classroom so I wander around for hours looking for it. When I finally find it, I realize I didn’t start the 10-page paper that is due today, or I didn’t study for the big test! Then after school, I can’t find my car/bike/bus stop/ride and wander around trying to figure out where the hell I am.

2. I am using a public toilet and no matter how hard I try not to touch anything, I keep brushing up against the walls, door, seat, etc. When I am ready to leave the stall, the door swings back on me with full body contact and enough force to push me up against the toilet. I am sandwiched between the toilet and the stall door. Then the toilet starts to overflow, the door locks itself, and if I don’t get out fast enough, the toilet will get me!!!

So do I have the worst school/toilet anxiety ever, or do you guys have similar recurring dreams?!

EDIT: I also have this other recurring dream that I’m using a public toilet, but the toilets are lined up like a train, where you are looking at the back of someone’s head while you poo and there is someone behind you looking at the back of YOUR head. There are no walls, the toilets are set up on a lush green lawn, outdoors on a beautiful sunny day.
