In January we flew to Isla Mujeres for our friends Tina and Tom’s wedding. When we heard that Tina was getting married on a beach in Mexico, my first thought was, “Oh no!! Drunk and horny college kids, MTV Spring Break, Girls Gone Wild, nooooo!!” Much to our pleasant surprise, it was NOTHING like that at all. Isla Mujeres turned out to be a beautiful, tiny, quiet island far away from all the partying, where old farts like us go to relax and do nothing!! AKA paradise. We knew we were in the right place when a group of hot college girls showed up and complained that there was “nothing to do here” haha.

The trip started out with some awesome mishaps, all to our benefit. The airline called us at 3am the morning of to say our flight had been cancelled, and asked if we would mind switching to FIRST CLASS on a different flight!! Um, yes. Here is me sleeping like a baaaby on the plane. The seats recline into beds, you get a fluffy pillow, comforter, and unlimited complimentary champagne. Also, they take your coat for you.
