Damn, I haven’t updated in almost 2 months!! I have to write all this shit down before I forget and it’s gone forever. This will be the longest LJ entry in all of LJ history!!!!
Starting with… FOURTH OF JULY! Shit, this is old stuff. For the 4th of July, Larry had this grand idea that we should barbecue and watch fireworks from the roof of his club. Considering how packed and crazy it gets downtown, we thought it was a clever idea and that we’d have the best view from the roof. Little did we know, our view would be COMPLETELY obstructed by the tall Pacific Bell building adjacent! We had to watch the fireworks thru the reflection on the opposite building, hahaha. LOoooooosers!!!! It was still a lot of fun though.

So as I mentioned in my last post, we agreed to foster 2 of Daria’s 4 cats (Camille and Sparky) until she gets her life straightened out. Well, guess what! We took in one more! Ladies and gentlemen, meet Orange!!! The original plan was that our friend Donerick would take Orange, but when I picked Orange up to deliver her to Donerick’s house, I instantly fell in love and thought, “NO WAY AM I GIVING DONERICK THIS CAT. SHE IS MINE!!” Orange is a mean, fat and grumpy 10-year-old cat. She is the spawn of Satan. She growls at anything that moves. She hates all other cats and most humans. There is a 10-foot radius of doom and gloom that surrounds her. Orange has no tolerance for fun or happiness. If she hears happiness in the room in the form of laughter or purring, she gets pissed off and leaves the room or attacks the source of happiness. This morning I woke up and found Orange staring me straight in the face, hissing and growling. Why do I love Orange, you ask? Well… call me a masochist, but I enjoy the challenge of trying to make her love me. Let’s put a smile on that big fat orange face!!! :-)
Orange hid under this bookcase for the first 3 days we had her. We never even saw her come out to eat or shit.
When Orange finally ventured out from under the bookcase, she hid behind this couch for 3 more days.

Two of my best friends from high school, Ellie and Matt, got married last month. It was a Swedish-Filipino wedding, the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to! Everything was breath-taking. I had the biggest crush on Matt during my freshman year of high school. We had English class together. He had green dreads and ugly brown boots that were way too big for him. By spring, he and Ellie started going out. I was so stinking jealous! Everyone started talking shit about us to each other (ah, high school… don’t miss it one bit!), and things got ugly. Needless to say, it didn’t take long for me and Ellie to become enemies. For the next three years, I thought she was a rude, snobby, kiss-ass (she was senior class president, straight-A student, cheerleader, wrestling team, co-founder of music club, always in the ASB office helping out, you name it!!), and Ellie thought I was shallow and ditzy (I spent most of my school days sitting in the back painting my nails, or getting sent home to change my clothes because I was showing too much skin). But then during our senior year, we got stuck in the same math class. As much as I tried to ignore her, I actually kinda started to think she was a pretty cool chick. Before long, we were calling each other on the phone and passing notes in class, and she became one of my very best friends ever. People think it’s weird that we’re friends cuz our lives are so different, but she has a really good heart and is so passionate about everything she pursues. She’s amazingly mature for her age, the most practical and honest person I know, AND she loves animals (she’s in vet school right now). She’s also really good at cooking and arts & crafts. Anyway, ENOUGH OF THAT SAPPY SHIT!!! She’s probably reading this and I’m going to feel embarrassed if she knows I say nice things about her. Here are some pictures, let’s be shallow.

BEFORE YOU MAKE FUN OF MY FACIAL EXPRESSIONS IN THE NEXT FEW PICTURES, LET ME EXPLAIN! I was bummed that I didn’t catch the bouquet at my sister’s wedding in April, so I started telling everyone that I was gonna catch it at Ellie’s for sure. Well, looks like I didn’t have to fight too hard for it, because when Ellie threw her bouquet, no one went for it!!!!!! It landed on the floor. I looked around a bit, shrugged, and picked it up.
I have no idea why they are all cheering, since it’s not like I had to jump thru hoops for the bouquet or anything…
Ellie’s brother Alvin caught the garter. The reason we are laughing is because Alvin is gay. Hey Ellie, am I allowed to say that here? No one from high school reads this anyway. Well, no one who doesn’t already know.

Remember Camille, Daria’s 3-legged cat? We had to give her back. Five cats was just way too many for our tiny house, and Cami started developing behavior problems. A lot of biting, crying, howling, shitting in the hallway, etc. She also humped our legs all night and we weren’t getting any sleep. Here is the last picture I took of Camille.
I wish I could attach sound to this photo. Orange was growling because everyone was in a good mood and having fun. Shortly after this photo was taken, she got up and stormed off to be by herself in the corner.

CAMPING PICTURES!
Way back in 1983, a couple of Kevin’s friends decided to go camping. A year later, they came back to the same spot, with a few more friends. It somehow became an annual event that escalated to a couple hundred people showing up every year! And it keeps growing every year as word of mouth spreads. This is my second year; they’ve been doing it for about 20. It’s so funny how downright obsessive some of these guys are! Everyone tries to build the biggest, baddest campsite. There’s Handicamp, Lazy Camp (stoners), Skate Camp (I’ll show you in a second), and Camp Larz (Larry spends months and months preparing for this every year–flashing lights, fancy signs, torches, flags, the whole shebang.) We stay at Camp Larz.
The first nite that we arrived, a bunch of guys from Skate Camp BUILT A FUCKING SKATE RAMP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST. It was so funny! We got lucky cuz we somehow managed to go thru the whole week without any rangers checking up on us. They woulda been so busted!

Shrinkle goes fishing! Actually, Angie found this fish already half-dead, floating near the top of the water. I saw her pick it up, so I went over and asked if I could see it. Everyone turned around just in time to see me holding the fish, so they thought that I had caught it and that it was live and healthy. I was the river hero for five whole minutes till my cover was blown and someone said, “Hey! That fish was already dead… and Angie found it!!!!” Que lastima. My five minutes are over.

This is what we call, “Oh my god. Fuckin’ Larry again.” Larry took some shrooms on Saturday nite, yanked the roof off someone’s tent, AND WORE IT. Then he hid in the darkness by himself for hours. He insisted that he had just arm wrestled a bunch of swans. Then he walked around from campsite to campsite, still wrapped in the tent, laughing hysterically. Very very scary stuff!!! Say no to drugs, kids. If you look up the Blank Club on Myspace, you’ll notice some tent/blanket jokes posted in his comments section. Well, now you know where they come from.

She LOOKS cute, but don’t be fooled! I had just finished neatly stacking and organizing my eyeshadows when Orange came over and kicked them all over so that she could lay comfortably on them. Every time I tried to take one from her, she’d hiss and swat at me. I swear to god I saw the flames of hell glowing in her eyes.

This is the best picture ever. When we first brought Sparky home, he and Maus did NOT get along. Sparky took over all of Maus’s favorite toys and hangout spots, not letting him use the scratching post or the stairs. But now they’re best friends. Maus ALWAYS has his arm around Sparky when we’re watching TV.

Yeah I loved the dresses too! You always hear nightmare stories about bridesmaid dresses from hell, so luckily my friend had good taste, heheee! About the ribbons, she had picked the colors beforehand and asked us which one we wanted. Pink was the obvious choice for me, heehee!

Yeah the evil thing about LJ is that once you start you cant stop!!! haha If you forget to write about something that you did, you feel all guilty, like you hurt your journal’s feelings. I was never good at keeping diaries. I always ditched ‘em after a few months, then felt guilty like I should be recording this stuff. But then after I stopped keeping diaries, I stopped feeling guilty!! So that’s why more and more I’m like “I should delete that damn Livejournal of mine so I can stop feeling pressured to update it.”

OH MY GOD, I did the same thing! I was lucky that my parents went to work early, so I could wear whatever I wanted to school and they’d never find out. But on weekends and stuff when I’d leave the house while they were home, I always wore my nerdy “parentally-approved” clothes but brought a backpack with a scandalous cothes to change in the car, hahahahaa!!!

Shrinkle in O-town?
You are coming to Orlando? OMG! I so wanna hang out with you! That is, if this damned hurricane doesn’t blow us all away! I can take you to the “House of Spinster” where my friend lives with her 28 cats! (Tomorrow, we are having a tea party on her lawn. We are going to wear ballroom skirts, corsets, and big floppy hats!) Ha!
Seriously, you should check out Islands of Adventure (do they have that in Cali?). If you are coming in October, there are a TON of good concerts too. The Cramps, Social D, and Skinny Puppy to name a few!
Oh, I’m getting off track…back to hurricane prep!!!

Orlando was a blast! I have no idea what Islands of Adventure is, so we probably don’t have that here. Anyway, when we were at Disneyworld on the 19th and 20th, it was DEAD EMPTY cuz everyone had left town during the hurricane! We came right after it. It was so fun! We went on all the rides without having to wait in line. Woo hoo! It was my first time in Orlando. Everything is so funny cuz the entire city is obsessed with Disney! We got a kick out of the street names being named after Disney characters, haha!

Islands of Adventure is another Universal Studios park. It has a Dr.Suess land, Comicbook land, Cartoon land, etc. etc. It is 100x better then Universal. I’m glad you liked it! I’m going to be in San Fran next year…prolly around April. I may be moving there with a bunch of friends. You’ll have to let me know where all the interesting places are!

Hey girly! We ended up going to Washington DC but only for a few hours! We got there around 3pm and it took us TWO FRICKING HOURS to find parking, it’s so insane. By the time we found parking, everything was closed and we didn’t get to go into any of the museums, BOO! But I did get my picture taken in front of the WHite House, haha. We did a little bit of shopping but had to leave a few hours later because we didn’t want to get to Pennsylvania too late. We also ended up skipping the ENTIRE East Coast cuz we had less than a week to get home by then.
We were thinking of flying out to the East Coast in the spring and renting a car to do a mini-road trip up the coast, cuz I was really bummed that we didn’t have time to check anything out. :-( WE EVEN HAD TO SKIP NEW YORK! But anyway, I’ll keep ya posted if we decide to come out there agian. Maybe we can meet up!! :-D
Yeah, parking in DC is a BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I hate it so much! Well, if you do come in the spring, I would be absolutely DELIGHTED to show you around D.C. and we can maybe go to Georgetown(a college town)with lots of cool shops!!! :) Although, I*m sure the shops in California are way better than here!! :P

Was Ellie’s boyfriend ever in a ska-punk band? When I was 16 or so, I went with this guy Jai to what I believe was Ellie’s house for a band practice. The reason I believe it was Ellie’s house was Alvin was there, but not with the group of people. I vaguely remember meeting her as well.
It’s funny, even though a few months later Alvin and I became close friends, I never went to that house again. Alvin and I stopped hanging out after awhile though. I do see him on occasion now though!
Actually, did you know Alvin introduced me to my boyfriend Ryan? Yes, he encouraged me to start dating him over 6 years ago. Crazy!

They played at the Milpitas TEen Center (haha) that nite you and Blair were there, and we didn’t know each other, and you were talking shit about me in the bathroom for leaving a trail of glitter all over the sink! :-D

I went to school with Kai and was super super in love with him.. until I met Jai. *swooon* Jai was sooo sweet to me and Kai hated it. (probably because he lost a fan-girl) Kai sang for Dr. Claw & the Mad Agents and I don’t know if I’d call him mean as much as ‘holier than thou’. I thought Jai was in the Plumbers.. not completely sure though.

Haha, we actually got really lucky with Orlando! Everywhere we went, the hurricane had just LEFT. So when we got to Orlando, everyone was still out of town, but the hurricane was gone, and we got to go on ALL the rides at Disneyworld without having to wait in line cuz it was so dead empty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HaHa, I love Orange already. Rescued kitties can be so surly sometimes. My mom and I once rescued a little black-and-white kitten from out in the street in front of the house, gave her the inauspicious name of Poncho Via, and she became one of the cantankerous cats to ever walk the face of the earth. This cat will just walk into the room, jump up on the table, and for no humanly discernable reason will scratch you in the face and she’ll go right for the eyes, too. She’ll start rubbing your legs, like she wants you to pet her, but it’s a trap, cause the minute you touch her, you’ll find your hands in her jaws. This cat has no friends, only enemies who aren’t dead yet. But we all still love her anyway… cause we’re stupid.

I’ve been meaning to e-mail you forever, but I’ve barely had any internet access until now. I just have to tell you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the package you sent me! It came a day before we left for our road trip. When I saw the cat buttons, I screamed! They were so adorable! I put them all on my backpack and brought them with me across the country. Every time I missed my kitties, I’d look at the buttons and be happy. I missed them SOOOOOOO much, I honestly don’t know what I would have done without those buttons to look at every day!!!!! Mullet my asssssssssss! I cut that shit the day after I wrote that entry. Now I have short, ugly, layered, shoulder-length hair. BOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She had to cut SOOOO many layers in it to hide the bald spots. WAHHHHHHHHH I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for sooooooooo long, of course something like this would happen. :-(

I know what you mean about trying to grow it for so long. I had one of those bleach induced pixie cuts for a while after swearing I would never cut it again. You should see my 4th-6th grade pictures…. voluntary mushroom haircut is all I have to say. Well I stopped cutting and bleaching my hair around when Angelina was born (4 years ago!!) and its finally down to my waist. For the longest time it would just break off, especially in the shower. Now I use infusium 23 shampoo and deep conditioner… I swear by that stuff, if I use anything else its split-end city up in this piece.
Of course I still love you…. your talking to a hardcore lush here!! A week or so ago I got really bombed on champagne and painkillers and when I woke up I had wrote long passionate and/or funny rants in like everyones journals. The funny part was I dont remember most of it, and I wrote all these embarassing anecdotes like how I used to nibble all the chocolate off the mini-reeses cups and roll the peanut butter into a ball until I had a huge peanut butter ball and then I would eat it. Yum!! *mental note: dont write while drunk*

Oh! I always dye my hair Rose Red by Punky Color. It’s the raddest! It looks dark red, but in the light (or the flash of a camera) it turns HOT HOT HOT pink!!!!! IT’s my favorite.
