Okay…. so here are the pictures from SF Gay Pride Weekend! Well, Pink Saturday at least. For those of you unfamiliar, Pink Saturday is the big-ass street party in the Castro neighborhood the Saturday night before the actual Gay Pride Parade. It happens right after the Dyke March, and is definitely the best part of Gay Pride Weekend! We had lots of fun, boozed it up (Jesus Christ did you guys see the line for the liquor store?! They must have made a KILLING!), ran into a bunch of friends (Hi, fuckconsumerism! Hi femmriot!), walked around, socialized, peed in the parking lot…
We ended up skipping out on Sunday’s festivities altogether. After a night of heavy drinking, we were awakened at 9 in the frickin’ morning by a bunch of loud, giggling trannies in the bathroom! Jade’s uncle and his buddies had woken up super duper early to dress in full drag for the parade. By the time they were out the door, none of us could fall back asleep, so we got up. We ended up feeling too tired and shitty to do anything but go out for sushi, and then I decided to just drive back home and do absolutely nothing. Party pooper!!!

I’m not really sure who this guy is, but we had to get our picture taken together for obvious reasons. I actually thought he was a chick till he told me he was a guy. Oops! Jade says I shoulda known by the Adams Apple. Haha.

So moving on…. we are temporarily fostering two of Daria’s cats (Sparky and Camille) while she looks for a new place to live. I don’t care if you think I’m turning into a crazy cat lady, cuz AHHHHHHH THIS IS SUCH A DREAM COME TRUE, SURROUNDED BY CATS! THEY’RE EVERYWHERE!!!!

YES he is cross-eyed! Poor guy. He’s such a mess! He growls at his reflection in the garbage can, and when I call for him he runs up to me but misses me by like 3 feet. You also can’t tell by this picture, but he is really fat and has an unusually tiny head.

Had sooo much fun! Ran into some Livejournal friends (I know, how DORKY, right?!), julicide and catastrofia. I didn’t really get to talk to julicide for more than 30 seconds cuz I was in line for the bathroom and didn’t see her again after that. But I got to hang out with catastrofia for a bit after the show. She’s super fun and nice and pretty! We were e-mailing each other before the show, telling each other what we were going to wear so that it’d be easier to spot the other in the crowd. I told Anna I’d be wearing a blue see-thru top and polka dot undies, and her response was something alone the lines of, “And what about your pants?” HAHAHAHAHA. Pants? Ummmm… yeah.

Don’t worry about being a crazy cat lady. They’re the best! I have 4 sweet kitties and I would LOVE more, but cleaning the litterbox for that many cats is a bitch! Not to mention the rolling balls of white fluff everywhere from their shedding. And how do you get your cats to use the scratching post?? Mine refuse to use theirs and instead opt for the side of the couch. GRR. Your outfits are so fabulous (I love the pink coat!) I think I saw it on ebay somewhere and I wanted it but it was too much. Y_Y. I forget where you live, but if you ever come down to New Orleans we have got to hang out. You always look like you’re having so much fun!
Dude, we have two litterboxes and I have to clean each one like twice a day, it’s so gross! I also have to vaccuum every single day cuz we’re practically ankle deep in cat hair, haha! But whenever I wake up in the morning surrounded by cats on the bed with me, I remember why I do it!!! :-D

There is nothing wrong with being a CrAzY cat lady! I’m actually an aspiring Spinster. My friend, Candace, and I plan to one day have 78 cats. She already has 28!!! All INDOORS and various shapes, sizes, ages! It’s a cat lovers dream! BTW…I had a cat named Maus too!!!! Maus O. Liam, to be exact!
I take it you enjoyed Skinny Puppy…I know I did when I saw them in Atlanta last week. I drove a total of 900 miles to see them because those bastards didn’t play a show in Florida! It was well worth it though…Ohgr is HOT!

All her cats get along pretty much…she does have problems with one of them. He’s only got 3 legs and the other cats kinda bully him. Her and I have a dream of one day being spinsters together in a huge house with 78 cats. The drunker we get, the more vivid this fantasy becomes…LOL…I’m glad no one has ever recorded these conversations!
My cats name came because I wanted something long and kinda spooky. I had just had some of my photography framed and one pic was a cat and the other was a Mausoleum…so Maus O. Liam became her name!
I saw Skinny Puppy Tuesday. Very good show but I choose to stay in the balcony!!!! The floor was packed (I did not want to get drooled on or anything else) and I had a nice view! They played a sold out show in denver. People were selling tickets for $200-400 on ebay for this show! Crazy hun? I’m glad I got my tickets early. I kept joking that we were there for a Republican Convention…ummm yeah NOT! Like the kitties pictures!

Pfft! I’m a crazy cat lady, too! I have like, more than 15 black (and some grey) cats. I also wear black all the time, so I’m sure there’s some kind of rumor going on around in this itty bitty town that I’m the devil, or something. It’s crazy! This one chick behind us is always trying to complain to the SPCA. She thinks black cats are bad luck. Now, I’m a Christian…but sometimes I just want to bang on her door and yell faux spells at her or something just to freak her out. hehe.
But I love them all. I just wish I could find homes for some of them, because it’s getting out of control. Sadly, the place I live in is like, Dogville. So, basically…full of idiots. o.O

Oh, the trick to getting your pics as crisp and clear as possible is to not use the flash! We have huge windows in our house, so I usually just take my pics with natural lighting. :-)

Pretty much just cold enough to need a jacket. It doesn’t usually snow or anything like that. But then there are the days that are completely wacky with it being super hot during the day and chilly at night. The City likes to keep you on your toes :)

It looks like everyone went to the SP show but me. :( I didn’t even try to get tickets, but it sounds like it was so much fun, that I wish I had. I didn’t realize you know. I actually ran into her on the bus yesterday after work. It seems that she knows everyone.
Anyway, keep the kitty pictures coming! I never get tired of cute kitties. It’s going to be a while until I can have some of my own, so I have to enjoy them vicariously through other people.

your photos are always so amazing! what kind of camera do you use that takes such clear and bright pics and how do you make the black border around them? is that done in photoshop or does your uploading site do it? i just think it looks awsome. xoxkrissy
Hey girl! Usually I take my pictures without the flash, because natural light is waaaaaay better if you want your pictures to be as crisp and clear as possible. We have huge windows all over our house, so all my pictures come out pretty decent! Flashes usually make your pics look flat and distort the colors. I use a Canon Powershot SD10 camera.
Oh, if you want to make a black border around your photo, open it in Photoshop, and then SELECT ALL. Go to EDIT at the top of the screen and choose “Stroke.” From there you can pick the color of the border you want and how think you want it to be! Hope that makes sense! :-)

California isn’t like Baywatch!
San Francisco is usually pretty cold, contrary to the popular belief that it’s always hot in California. This is because we are located by the beach so we don’t get extreme weather like most parts of the state. And like most places, evenings are usually chilly anyway. so, surprise! we don’t have our bathing suits on everywhere we go.
