The day started out with lots of craziness, of course. This is me in my pajamas still sewing the mascot dress TWENTY MINUTES before call time! I was freaking out because I still had to finish attaching the hoop and ruching up the top ruffle so it wouldn’t look like a giant potato sack.
Luckily, there was a mini-drama that bought me more sewing time, haha! Irene had rented a room at a hotel (which shall remain unnamed) for all the models to prep. The door was left wide open, so when the grumpy Korean manager walked by, he saw a room full of pretty girls getting made up. He got mad, yelled at them in broken English, “Hotel for sleeping only! Not for your kind of business!” and made everyone pack up their stuff and get out. After getting kicked out and refunded, Irene the Hollywood madam moved her prostitution ring over to our hotel. Yay!! I had more time to work on my dress while everyone was getting ready in our room.

Off to Royal/T we go! Poor Josh had to carry this giant dress for me cause it was so huge I couldn’t see where I was going.
Huge dress + doorways = not friends! At one point, unbeknownst to me, the dress got stuck on a door and the gathering in front tore. I did not discover the rip until the grand finale of the fashion show, when my dress walked up onstage lopsided! I had a mini panic attack, but luckily the show ran twice so I was able to fix it in time for Round 2. Whew!

On Sunday we checked out of our hotel and crashed with Daria. She is staying with a friend in his beautiful ginormous artist loft that I am soooo jealous of! Look how huge her bedroom is. I totally miss living in a big open loft!!

Aww yeah, the “limited guest list” thing was a nightmare. I feel bad because I had been telling everyone for months to come. It was only the night before the show that we all found out the show was invite only and that everyone else had to enter a lottery for the very few tickets they did have left. :-( Glad you liked the pictures though!
