We decided to trash the restaurant by seeing who could design the best wedding dress.. out of toilet paper! That’s Sandy (angrybutter), Michelle, me, and Lexi.
When it comes to fashion, Sandy doesn’t fuck around!! (Hello, Miss San Francisco Academy of Art College!)
And um… this was my design. (Hello, Miss Flunked out of High School Sewing Class!)

I know I said I’d scan in my zitty high school pics, but I’ve got so much shit to take care of before I get to goof off. Melissa’s wedding is tomorrow, which means I have less than 24 hours to lose 5 pounds in order to fit into the one dress I own that isn’t too slutty to wear to a wedding! Last time I wore it, I could barely breathe. AHHHHHHHHHH what have burritos done to me!!!
I’ve also been asked to work as a wardrobe stylist at a private Heatherette party next week. Even though I’m not entirely sure what that means, what a sweet hookup! I will be sure to take lots of pictures of me and Richie Rich making out (JUST KIDDING. I WISH!!!!!!). I am also looking forward to the free liquor and hors d’euvres. I bet I spelled that wrong, but I’m too lazy to dictionary.com it.
Plans for the newly re-vamped shrinkle.net are going well too. My friend Brett is TOTALLY re-doing the entire thing and I can’t believe how amazing it looks so far! It won’t be as sickeningly hot pink as it is now, and the captians will actually be centered correctly, haha. I also wanna have better pictures on it and not just stupid eBay snapshots. So Patrick and I have been looking for models and trying to come up with cool ideas for photoshoots. So far, I recruit my friend Gorgeous Mandy. Whadda ya think? Cute? Yes? No? Patrick’s all about shooting flawless 5′9″ agency models, but I’ve recently decided it’s really not my thing. I prefer “the adorably dorky, freaky girl next door.”
Eventually, awesome Philip of Lithium Picnic is going to help me do pictures for my site too, which should be super exciting! He found me on Myspace (haha) over a year ago and emailed me asking if I’d be interested in shooting. I’ve always been a fan of his work, so I felt like an insecure chump talking to him. We kinda stopped talking after that, but last month he told me he was still interested in shooting. He said even if I don’t want to model, he at least wants to shoot models wearing my clothes. I was surprised he was still interested after a year of silence on my part, so I took it as a sign that this was meant to be! His work is a little “darker” than what I normally do, but I think it’ll make for an interesting project. Something different, something not so glittery hot pink, you know? Check out his work, he’s really good. If, in a week I still have not e-mailed him, someone please kick me.

Still though, that makes it interesting.
I’ve thought about models some for my work too. If I were doing a runway show, I’d start with a “classic too-skinny” 18-year-old model and work my way up to various attractive, normal-looking models as the show progressed. Sure, if you’re a particular size and body shape (and how much is this related to your race?) you can always look good/fashionable. I want to make interesting things for normal people ’cause they’re the ones buying it.
I dunno if this is a good marketing idea or not. I would increase some attention from normal people, but it might turn off those who are intertwined with the fashionable ideas of beauty.
I also think I’d want to start with a white model and then by 10% of the way through have completely changed over to brown/black models.
