Mini update + Le Gothique interview

Hey guys! So sorry I’ve allowed my blog to turn into a ghost town! The launch of Sugarpill went amaaaazingly and has pretty much consumed my entire life for the past three weeks. I can’t even remember the last time I left the house, and I’m slowly turning into an antisocial, pale, beady-eyed hermit. I’ll try to get caught up on picture posts soon, but in the meantime, check out this interview I just did for Le Gothique!

  • Kristina says:

OH MY GOD. Im so excited to finally see the makeup line released, I was waiting ever so -not- patiently to see how it would turn out since Im always looking for bright colors, and then I get to the website and see that some of it is also vegan? Ugh. I should just give you my bank info now cause Im definately going to go broke really quickly..

  • Nymphetamine says:

Sugarpill looks so amazing. I can’t wait for pay day so I can get my hand on some palettes!

  • Lucifin says:

Omg, you posted something! I’m so hyped! You alive! I got my order of course and I haven’t got a chance to test them fully yet, but the little I tried was amazing. It’s insane the pressed eyeshadows go on even without the primer. I’ve been shying away from the loose eyeshadows since they make a huge mess, but the packaging mostly has them stay put… it ain’t perfect (but I can’t really think of an alternative to keep all the loose shadows in the pot) but is indeed a lot better than most packagings I’ve seen. I know starting out a biz is always fun and exciting. Hope it keeps up for you. :) Get some sleep, and stop insulting asians. So we have beady eyes… how could you. lol; Reading the interview was nice. It was very down to Earth, frank and inspiring. I should really cut back on my sleep.

I have never commented on your blog, just e-stalked ;) But I’ve been ordering clothes and makeup from you on eBay since 2004 and to see you go from there to where you are at now is such a huge inspiration! Sugarpill is amazing! Congrats on all your current and future successes!

    Much love from Texas!

  • Alexia says:

You know, this is going to sound so strange to say, but I’m so proud of you and I don’t even know you. I’ve been sort of following you offhandedly for six or so years after I ordered some kryolan eye makeup and I feel like I’ve seen you really grow into yourself. It’s wonderful to see you so successful! congratulations girl, you deserve it! :D

  • Like Alexia, I’ve been following you offhandedly for 6+ years (since 2003, actually) and I remember my first purchase from you (a black fishnet top with hood made of a black t-shirt with a red star on it). I am so happy that you are flourishing as both a fashion designer and makeup designer/manufacturer/distributor/brander… It’s so great to see you do what you love. You are truly my hero, for finishing college (in journalism, wow!) and still pursuing your passion after graduating. I admire you so much; you have no idea how much you inspire me. <3

  • Crazy Frazee says:

So where’s the Crazy Frazee hot brown & orange 70s style color?! Damn.

    Whatinthehella, you hired someone??

PS – fix your camera! hahaha

  • tess says:

there’s two of us?? woo woo!! who’s the other unfortunate victim? hahaha!

  • Julia says:

Your makeup line is already so wonderful! I can’t wait to see how it grows and what colors/products you come up with next!
