I was really stressed out because I barely slept the night before. I pulled an all-nighter preparing Sugarpill samples to hand out, and freaking out about whether the flyers would arrive on time. (Overnight Prints needs to change their name to “Order-on-Wednesday-and-maybe-you’ll-receive-them-on-Saturday-if-you-keep-reminding-us Prints”) When the flyers finally arrived on Saturday morning, we bolted out the door, arrived at the festivities around noon, and there was already a huge line stretched around the block to get in. Jessica said it was already a madhouse when she got there early in the morning and that people were lined up since 7am, so I guess it didn’t make a difference what time we showed up. We had fun hanging out at the street fair outside, people-watching, running into old friends, making new ones, and passing out flyers/samples.

I met Yuka, the model from the flyer! She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s my new girlfriend. I was gushing for days about how adorable she is. She had this confused look on her face, then began speaking to me in Japanese. When I realized she had no idea what I was saying, I got over my shyness and the verbal diarrhea began: “I just love you, I want you to be my girlfriend! WHOA CREEPY TWINS PICTURE!! That needs to be the poster for a horror movie. I love how evil you look with black lipstick, heeheee
And yeah, Asian skin tends to look really orange in pics if you don’t edit them. But it’s super easy to fix! If you use Photoshop, just go to Edit, Image, Adjustments, and then Photo Filter. From there you can take out as much of that crappy orange as you want! :-)

You’re really good at promoting your new line. Most people are too cheap to realise that samples bring in more money than they cost. All the lolitas looked so cute, you looked like a bright little oompa loompa next to them, in a good way of course.
