Kyary and me
The night before the show, we had a staff dinner with 6%DOKIDOKI at Native Foods. Me, Yuka, Vani, Yume, Sebastian and Michelle.

Kaytea and Kazu makin’ me pretty! On a whim I dyed my hair green, then hated it and dyed it back to blue a few weeks later. But now I kinda like it and think I might try it again.

And then… HOLY SHIT, DIE ANTWOORD showed up. A week prior to the show, Yume told me they received a guest list request from Die Antwoord for the VIP pre-party. I didn’t want to get my hopes up, but just in case, I put together a package of makeup presents for my beautiful wife Yolandi because I’m a creep. The VIP event was from 6-8, but Ninja and Yolandi arrived at 5:57 so the venue was completely empty except for staff, models, and Die Antwoord. Mine… they’re ALL MINE!!
Yolandi is the cutest, tiniest, most perfect angel I have ever seen. She’s like 4 feet tall; you can fit her in your pocket! I gave her the present I’d put together for her. She seemed surprised, but I don’t really know what she said because I couldn’t understand her accent paired with the fact that she’s quiet as a mouse. So I’ll just assume she said she loved me and wanted to marry me.
Ninja was the sweetest guy ever! He was super outgoing and talkative and went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable (I was a bit nervous and hiding behind Yume’s clipboard haha). He seemed genuinely flattered and happy to take pictures, chat and hang out with everyone. Extra super bonus points for the fact that he was a vegan chef before Die Antwoord. My heart is mush!

I LOVE Die Antwoord. Isn’t Yolandi the most beautiful creature you’ve ever seen? She’s so gorgeous in real life with the most perfect skin. I haven’t had the privilege of meeting them but I have been front and center for two of their shows…soon to be three!
She is so gorgeous in real life it’s almost unreal!!! And I always knew she looked tiny onstage, but didn’t realize just how tiny she was up close. I’m only 5′1″ and I felt like a giant! She’s like a tiny little porcelain doll. Awww Yolandi! <3

I’m always doing the same with the hair colour: I love purple! I get tired and change to blue! then change to green! and then it starts again with purple or blue hehe

Oh, I’m soooo jealous that you got to meet Die Antwoord… And your superduper cute, really! But I just have to ask you, how do you know Ninja was a vegan chef before Die Antwoord? If it’s true it’s great and that would make him even better, but yeah just wondering?
Aww thank you! I found out about the vegan chef thing from our friends Travis and Leanne who own Iron Fist Clothing. They were talking about how they started the brand while living in South Africa, and I joked, “Oh you must be best friends with Die Antwoord then!” because that’s pretty much all I know about South Africa. They replied in total seriousness that they actually did grow up with Ninja, and that he used to be a vegan chef who went by the name Wattie. SO CUTE!!!!
I just got a giant lady boner reading this-I’m not remotely vegetarian but I LOVE Iron Fist, and I love Die Antwoord and the two things are related and I had NO IDEA. Throbbing turgid lady boner.

She is the cutest! Unfortunately she doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Japanese, so we were hardly able to speak at all. We mostly just made awkward hand gestures unless there was a translator around. I want to learn Japanese!
